Dan and Ingrid’s Schweitzer Mountain wedding in Sandpoint, ID. These two decided to pledge their love to one another atop Schweitzer Mtn because Ingrid spent many days staring down at Lake Pend Oreille. The lake, which spans nearly halfway across the pan handle of Idaho. It’s truly a sight one can only appreciate in person.

We started off with a BBQ on the beach of the lake in Sand Point before the rehearsal dinner. It was great to get to know all of their closest friends and family before the chaos of the wedding day descended upon us. On the way to the top for the rehearsal, I got my first glimpse of the magnitude of the lake that snakes its way around the mountains. We were greeted kindly with a gorgeous sunset to close out our day.

The next day we had a sweet first look where Dan and Ingrid saw each other for the first time at the Selkirk Lodge, in the place where we held the rehearsal dinner the night previous. The chair lift rides up to the top was peaceful and wildlife filled. The ceremony was in the Iconic Schweitzer Mountain wedding location overlooking Sand Point and the lake. The reception was the first wedding to be held in the brand new Sky House, which rests at the very top of the mountain.

Dan and I had met while attending SUU in Cedar City. He was one of the funniest and most talented people I met in my short amount of time in the art department of SUU. His illustrations and creativity continually inspire me. He hand drew the welcome sign for the guests, as well as the invitations. He also designed and screen printed the wedding party favors for the guests, it is proudly displayed on my wall.

I wish Dan and Ingrid the best in their adventures to come. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day in such a special place.
