Kellie & Niko’s Nevada High Desert Wedding
I was so excited when Niko and Kellie booked me for their Nevada high desert wedding, back home. Even more so when Kellie told me they wanted photos at Big Rock. I always enjoy unique weddings back in Ely.
My grandparents live just a few hundred yards down the hill from here, so naturally I grew up climbing on and around this boulder. The rock is split in two and you can climb up from the inside to the top. I loved so much about this lovely wedding. Kellie made just about everything, including her dress. All of the details were spot on, I probably could have made a blog just for all of them. They held their ceremony in Niko’s grandparents field near their house on the McGill highway, giving a great view of the Duck Creek Mtn. Range. The reception was held back at the house, which was transformed into a gorgeous venue by days of hard work from many family and friends. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least; in a small town there are only a few venues and they get old quickly.
I wish these two all the best in the future. Thank you guys for treating me like a guest and making me put my gear down and celebrate with you at the end of the evening! It was a gorgeous celebration with great people!
